Check writing continues to grow at 2% to 3% annually.  Over 66 billion checks are written every year with 18 billion issued at the point of sale.  Check payment at the retail point of sale is not expected to diminish any time soon.  The cost of returned checks directly impacts any merchant's bottom line.  Merchants are experiencing higher losses from fraudulent checks each year.  According to studies, about 85% of returned checks are due to insufficient funds (NSF).  A major problem facing merchants is the 7 to 12 days between acceptance at the point of sale and the return of the check due to non-payment.  Typically retailers have in house staff or an agency to collect bad checks

A new banking rule allows us to collect your NSF Checks Electronically!

The National Automated Clearing House (NACHA) announced in March 1998 that checks which have been returned unpaid for NSF can now be collected through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, the network that allows financial institutions to exchange payments on behalf of business customers and consumers.
